Sold – Ibanez SR 506 – Six String Bass

6 String Ibanez SR 506 bass guitar in very good condition. Asking $325. I’ll include a strap and an old Warwick gig bag if you want it. Send me an email at contact@scottnelle.com or a message on facebook or twitter if you’re interested. I’m selling because I prefer five strings.

This is the older version of the SR 506 with the wenge and bubinga neck which is extremely stable in Vermont’s erratic climate. It holds tune well and rarely needs setup adjustments. The neck is unfinished and very comfortable to play. The action is currently set pretty low and this bass is amazingly playable for a six string. The strings have only a few minutes of play time on them. The body is mahogany and reasonably lightweight.

The only significant differences between the bass I’m selling are that mine uses nicer neck woods (yay!) and doesn’t include an active/passive switch (boo.) Other than a couple of dings (photos below) this bass is in great shape.
